I think this is an important point because Sweden’s long term care facilities are structured differently than it’s neighbors. Often several hundred residents are housed together in Sweden which is not the case in places like Norway, for instance which typically have less than 50 residents in a single facility (according to Andres Tegnell, Sweden’s Anthony Fauci).
I think there is still a strong possibility that if Sweden had found a better way to protect those inside nursing homes (namely by not housing them all together In large numbers and by ventilating their facilities effectively to simulate an outdoor type of environment) their situation might have looked more similar to their neighbors.
